How long have you hosted your site with Lunarpages?

Christine:  Since October 2006

You’re  hosted on the Lunarpages Basic Plan for almost 1500 days! How has your experience been with us so far?

Christine:  Wonderful…..you guys are the best.

Tell us a bit about your site and what you do there.

Christine:   I am a jeweler and my website is a showcase for my designs it is also where I sell my jewelry.

Can you tell us a little about how you used SEO (search engine optimization) and if the efforts helped your rankings?

Christine:  I use words and phrases related to my business to pop up in searches.  I don’t pay for listings so my listings are not ranked as high as I would like them to be.      (IS THIS WHAT YOU ARE LOOKING FOR WITH THIS QUESTION?  IF YOU WANT TO EXPLAIN THIS TO ME IN MORE SIMPLE TERMS MAYBE I CAN ANSWER IT BETTER……SORRY)

Tell us about the design of your site.

Christine:  My website is a template that I purchased and then had to program all of the information and pictures.

We noticed you also have a blog.  Has this increased your traffic?

Christine:  I just started my blog so not yet.

Do you use social networking as a means to drum up new business?  If yes, which social sites?

Christine:  Partially. Facebook is the only one so far.

Since you have to have a personal life somewhere in the mix, what do you do offline?

Christine:  Spend time with family and friends, go for walks with my dog, cook gourmet meals, play golf and travel.

Does your online business sustain your lifestyle or do you have an additional job?

Christine:  No it does not, but the economy right now is to blame for that when people don’t have a job or money to put food on the table they certainly don’t have extra money to buy jewelry.  I still sell to boutiques and get special orders and have online sales just not the same amount as before.   Thanks to my dear husband I do not have to have another job.

The images on your site are clean and professional.  Do you take the photos yourself?

Christine:  Yes, I take my own pictures…….I have been interested in photography for quite some time and enjoy taking my own photos.

Now, let’s have a bit of fun. Who is your favorite stylist or fashion designer?

Christine:  Oh, do I have to pick just one?  Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Anne Klein, Escada, Valentino and Pamella Roland to name just a few.

If you wrote an auto biography, what would the title be?

Christine:  Island Girl………because I love the Caribbean and Hawaii…..spent much time there when I was a flight attendant.

If a time machine was available to you, where would you go and why?

Christine:  I would want to go back in time to the days of Kings and Queens because I have always been fascinated by that time.

Diamonds or pearls?

Christine:  Probably Diamonds.

Google or Bing?

Christine:  Google.
