Lunar Picks – How Do You Celebrate the Holidays?
The Lunarpages team of customer support, management and more all come from defend walks of life. With that said, and with the holidays coming up fast I thought I would ask them what is unique about their holiday plans? Do they decorate the Christmas tree in October? Do they leave the Christmas lights on till July? (I did that once, but not on purpose).
What are the Lunar Crew’s plans for the holidays?
David - On my holidays, I plan to go out of town with my family but be back in time for New Years.
Katrina – I watch “It’s a Wonderful Life”, “Charlie Brown Christmas”, and “Mr. Magoo’s Christmas Carol” for the umpteenth time. I won’t admit to “Christmas Story”. You’ll have to catch me on that one. I triple dog dare you!
Monty – I’m not sure how unique it will be but I’ll be going to donate blood and to temple for a charity thing.
Randy – Make my famous Rat-Chex mix and give to people for presents in cool containers.
Chad – I like to take advantage of the holidays by sleeping in as much as possible.
Daniel – We incorporate the British tradition of pulling Christmas crackers and wearing a paper hat during dinner.
Nicole – I make a photo album with comments of each photo that I took through the year to make a big surprise for my family.
Amy – First Christmas back in Australia for 4 years (yay). Christmas Eve I watch the carols and usually cry. It’s summer here so Christmas day we spend with the family swimming and eating – mostly seafood, salads, cold turkey and ham and anything that doesn’t involve cooking in a hot kitchen!
Roy - I love my family tradition of being with my family in a warm house, staying up till midnight and opening up all of our gifts on Christmas Morning. Merry Christmas to everyone and I hope that you have a Happy New Year.
Deb – When I was growing up, each Christmas Eve we’d have our traditional “Feast Of The Seven Fishes” dinner and then head to Midnight Mass at Catholic Church. For those who don’t know, “The Feast Of The Seven Fishes” is a tradition that was started in Southern Italy to commemorate the coming of Baby Jesus, and it’s a meal featuring 7 different Italian seafood dishes. Being part Italian with Sicilian roots, along with being Roman Catholic, there was NO getting away from this tradition. I loved it though.
Renee – Stay with my friends, and watch DVDs together all night long.
Jay – We celebrate xmas over in Australia by the water as it is so hot it is great. Preferably at the beach with as many family and friends as possible swimming, surfing fishing and beach cricket BBQing and seafood with a nice cold stubby in your hand (that is a bottle of beer for those with there mind in the gutter.)
Katie – The unique thing I like to do on holidays is to get away from everyone. I enjoy going to a mountain resort with no electricity or internet and relax, listen to music and enjoy the sounds of nature. Sing and dance where no one can see me.
Shawn – I like to do web hosting related activities. Lunarpages Rocks!
Greg – Go bodysurfing on Christmas Day.
Kris - I am going to take my girlfriend to have a good dinner somewhere. Don’t have much time to take care of her so much this year.
Mitch – Not so much now, but we used to have a family tradition of getting to open one present on Christmas eve.
Joe – Last year, I made a present for my mom for Christmas. It was a doll inside of a watermelon! I cut the watermelon into half and put the doll inside and gave it to my mother. It took her a while to figure out there was a doll inside!
Orlando – We celebrate with tamales kon Ponche!
That is it for the opinions this month. Now it is your turn to share! What is something special you do this time of the year? Leave a comment and let us know what you are doing to celebrate.

I’ll probably go out camping. The weather is cold, but it is a family tradition!
