The LPCP from Lunarpages has an excellent backup manager that will assist you in keeping your website files, databases, and account status backed up. It is always important to have a backup handy, just in case the worst might happen. To access your backup settings, login to your LPCP and click on the Backup and Restore Account link under the Your Site category on the left-side menu, from within your Lunarpages LPCP control panel.

How to Backup Your Account

To create your hosting account backup, click the button labeled, “Create Backup”. Please allow time for the backup to finish if it seems like it is taking some time. Once finished, you should get a message informing you that the account has finished backing up and offering the location of the backed up files.

Removing Old Web Hosting Backups

That is how you manage your backups in LPCP. As you can see it is a quicker and easier management system in place, to help you backup and restore your web hosting files.

Database and E-mail Backups: The LPCP interface does not (at this time) backup MySQL databases or e-mails. E-mails should be backup via downloading them to a POP3 desktop e-mail client. Databases will need to be backed up via the export function within phpMyAdmin (for MySQL databases) or phpPgAdmin (for PostgreSQL databases).
