Why Everyone Needs Backup

When I was working on my senior thesis in college, I understood wholeheartedly the importance in saving my work every few minutes. I also kept a saved file of the entire document on a separate CD and emailed a copy to myself after each editing session. So even if my computer died and I ran over the CD with my car, I could still download the file from my email and turn it in for my A+ (Yes, I was an overachiever)!

But backing up important documents on your computer isn’t the only thing you need to worry about–what if something happens to your website?

I’m sure it’s the last thing you would ever want to think of, but imagine if, in the process of uploading files to your website, you accidentally deleted some crucial files. Or you overwrite something that shouldn’t be. Now you’re going to have to start all over in creating your website, right? Wrong!

If you have a backup of your website, you can simply upload it and have a fully-functional version of your website, just as it looks before any accidental deletes or overwrites, in minutes!!

Ready to get started backing up your website? Check out our phenomenal tutorial over at the Lunarpages Wiki called: Backup from CPanel.

We also have a video tutorial, for those of you who are visual learners, via How to Backup Your Website Using cPanel.

And finally, if you’re still stuck, you have two fantastic options:

1. Give us a call and we can help you out over the phone!
2. Purchase the Premium Restore Service and we can backup your files for free

Now it’s time to save this article so I don’t accidentally delete it. ;)
