I do mythology for a living. A few of you show traces of exceptional sophistication in understanding mythological norms. I'm impressed. Mitch especially, with the intuitive high regard for Hal Jordan, seems to get it.

Some interesting choices theere but I don't think Wall-E is a super hero.

Though I was glad to see some non-spandex super heroes make the list like Zorro and Roland.

Personally my favorite is Deadpool - the Merc With a Mouth. He has it all, tragic back story, awesome powers, pop culture fueled insanity but generally he is just trying to be a better person....most of the time......when he isn't killing people for money....or kicks.....well he makes me laugh anyway.

Chris...I love you. I've read that series three times, and I'm on the verge of jumping into it again.

Randy T. a.k.a. 'RAT' (CSR Billing) Ratman - A.k.a. Rat-Boy, Marvelmouse, Deboroh Valker or Deboroh la Roccia, he is always the main character of the story. He has no powers, no abilities and no intelligence, but his goodwill and greatness of heart compensate for this. Although he isn't very clever or strong, he has somehow managed to fend off many terrible threats against No Name City.

Since my website has one of the most comprehensive Wonder Woman tributes on the Internet, I'd have to agree with your (very wise) Natalie. Wondie is probably the most fabulous concept comic books ever figured out (once they got over that initial Superman idea).

But I'm also torn in that my very first book (it just came out last week!!!), "Touch of Danger," tells of another superhero, this one named Valiant. He's not only hot but pretty darned amazing! He makes a great romantic hero even as he's saving worlds.
