“When replying to a tweet, remember other people are watching.”

You will no longer see the replies to users whom you do not follow.

For example:

user1 posts: “Check out this link”
user2 posts: “@user1 That’s cool!” <– wont show up in user3’s feed

if user3 is following user2, but not user1 they will not see the 2nd tweet in their feed.
