Lunarpages New Customer Portal is Live!
Author: Tiara Rea
We’ve been so busy these past couple months, and now you can really see what we’ve been up to. Besides launching our awesome Lunarpages Wiki, we created and launched LPLogin.com, a portal login for all our customers.
Why a Portal?
LPLogin was designed so you guys could have everything you need right at your fingertips. Looking to login? Visit LPLogin. Need to send in a support ticket? Visit LPLogin. Interested in the Top News Stories, daily weather, a good place to buy books, or just want to relax and play a mindless game? Visit LPLogin!
Where do I login?
Visit LPLogin.com and use the username and password fields at the top righthand corner:
![]()
What else can I do?
To Get the Latest Weather: Enter your zip code in the weather box and click Go!:

To View News Headlines: Take a look at the righthand side. You’ll find CNN Money and CNN Headlines, both of which will give you the days top financial and news stories.
To Play a Game: Warning, the LPLogin game has been known to cause Way Too Much Fun and I-Just-Want-To-Play-Not-Work-itis. Use your mouse to point the arrow towards a colored ball that matches the color under your arrow. Connecting 3 same-colored balls will blast them away. The goal is to have no balls left, and it’s very hard to win, but very, very addicting meantime:

What else is there?
On the left sidebar, you’ll find links to everything from bookstores to travel, tech gadgets to Apple gear. And if you scroll down, you’ll even get the latest news from our Blog and Newsletter.
We really hope you enjoy LPLogin.com! Please let us know what you think or what you’d like to see incorporated.

I like the concept… but really, a portal with a zillion Flash widgets? No thank you.

I’ve got to say, I hate it. And not just in the “oh I’ll get used to it” way. I really, really hate it.
What do I want a webhost for?
Clean, quick, and powerful administration of my website,
OR
Cheesy flash videogames, the weather?!?! and multiple points of login without a consistent visual theme?
You’re making things ridiculously complicated.
I was ticked off when I had to create a separate login to submit trouble tickets. This is just insane.

What about your international customers? I don’t have a US zip code and I’m not really interested in the weather you have over there. I quite like the idea, just make it useful for all of us!!!
Sorry Carl, I was addicted to the game within seconds. Your right though, it is cheesy!

I would like an alternate login portal designed for efficiency. It should have text only; images few to none for maximum speed. I’ve been bypassing the slow-loading Lunarpages portal for years. I want to log in and get to work without distractions. It is easier and quicker to bypass the portal. Lunarpages should not post notices there; they will languish unnoticed.

Joel is exactly right. Many of us don’t want bells and whistles (games and weather). Please allow us to administer our websites without a bunch of useless fluff.
