Having been in Internet marketing for almost 10 years, my finding is that Google is about the worst ROI for any affiliate (if you want to cal Adsense affiliate) program I have ever tried, with the exception perhaps of the Amazon, whose ROI was below 1/2500%.

In any event, the Google monolith may make a big footprint on the IM world, but thos venturing into the affiliate sector need to know it is not even a marginally good choice, given the availability of so many excellent alternatives.

I found that as sonn as I stopped using google and started using rss Clickbank product feeds (they are available all over the place but I use ProfitMart.com for mine) my revenue improved month over month in the order of hundreds of percent.

Sites that used to see $300 to $450 in a month were approaching $1000 for the same month/season, and this was with losely targeted feeds.

Not a Google fan, noot by any streatch, and I have horror stories about them I would love to share but just don't have the room here.

Great article! As a newbie to affiliate marketing I found it to be very educational.

Now, I do have one question. How do you feel about affiliate links? Do you leave them unmasked or do you mask them? I would be very interested to hear your opinion on that.

Thanks for your time and I look forward to reading more from you on this subject. Go AM! :o)

Like others have said, great Affiliate tips. The part about landing pages is something every marketer needs to look seriously into.
