Lunarpages Support Wiki – Need Your Requests!
Author: Mitch Keeler
Always listening to the feedback and responses from the customers, Lunarpages has dived deep into a new project that will provide each and every one of you with a better support experience. Launching sometime in the near future, the Lunarpages Wiki will contain tons of support information, FAQs and more that will inform you about every single aspect of your Lunarpages web hosting account.
Now, as Lunarpages is always one to give the customer what they need and want, what I need and want from you is your suggestions, feedback, thoughts and ideas for this new project. This is your chance to help shape the newest building block inside of the support pyramid that is Lunarpages. Here are a few questions you can answer for me:
- What aspects of web hosting would you like to see covered?
- How in depth do you want the coverage to be?
- Would you like to see user submitted work along side the official support articles?
- What things would you like to see most?
- How would you like to see the categories, FAQs and how-tos organized?
- Have anymore questions?
That of course is just to get you started. If you have any other thoughts I want to hear them as soon as you can get your fingers to typing them out to us. Please feel free to either leave a comment here on this post or e-mail feedback@lunarpages.com with the subject “Lunarapges Wiki Feedback”.
Please take a minute to let me know, so we can be sure you are getting the excellent web hosting support resource that you need. This is your turn to make a difference, so speak up and let your voice be heard.

I would like to see more of the Customer Account Page documented myself.

I’ve been trying for months to transfer my domain to Lunarpages’ registrar. 20 emails later, I’m still working on it. I’d like to see a beginning-to-end FAQ about how to do that for a non-expert, non-technical audience. Each step of the way, I’ve found something new: I need to have the original registrar unlock the domain first, I need to get this or that code and enter it when doing the new transfer. If I’d had all this information to start with, it would have saved several hours of frustration, and I’m sure this topic will come up continually for your new customers.

It’s really a thread to read more of.

I was able to get my website http://www.myterracehomes to propigate to LP. The explanation on how to do that was fine. Let me stop here and explain that I have not looked at anything relating to LP in any way for several months so if things are different now I appoligise. I became so frustrated that I gave up on my hosting. I watched several tutorials some over and over again. Does anyone else have the problem that the page on the tutorial looks nothing like the page I get to work from? I guess I and I’m sure other beginners would like things explained as if we were young children! I even talked to a rep on the phone. She was very nice and being from the west coast I just loved her sexy southern accent. I think she was from ILL. lol Unfortunatley I still just couldn’t get it. My problem is getting my page uploaded to the www so others can see it. I know it must be something simple that just isn’t clicking in my brain. I let a friend play with my tools and he managed to get my home page up to the www but doesn’t know how he did it. Just my luck, he won’t be explaining it to me. Nore can he do it again.
Please use the same pages we get to use and go REALLY SLOW explaining to us how to do it. Maybe you could put up a page where a tech and a newbe could both see the same page and the newbe could be walked through creating a simple page and upload it.
I think my problem is either a sign in / password erroror. Mabe I am putting stuff in the wrong boxes? I have not been on the LP site or used any of the software for so long now that I can’t really tell you the problem. Just that I can’t post stuff to the World Wide Web. I like all the software and have so many things I want to share. I got tired of paying people to build me sites for my business and having them put in information that is incorect or using the wrong terms. Making promises they don’t keep. I figured I would do it myself. HELP!!!
sorry for the rant
