What We are Thankful for!

By Amy Armitage

Last week in the USA we celebrated Thanksgiving. We had about 20 people over to our house and after 2 days of cooking I was thankful that I have a large enough home and plenty of food to share with our friends, that I didn’t poison anyone with my cooking, and that the cleanup is done! So it got me thinking about what some of the LP crew are thankful for at this time of year.

Following are their responses:

Andrew Delira (System Administrator II, LA) - I’m thankful i don’t have kids that would have killed me this year during Christmas and for Heineken!

Richard Dubois (System Administrator, Las Vegas) - The things I am most thankful for are my friends and Family that provide support during the challenges that life sends us each day. Without the family and friends support I don’t think I could be where I am today. I also am thankful for finding this job at Lunarpages as I was in retail before this and wow what a difference.. The people I work with are great and support each other in the same way that is why I consider each one of my co-workers as close friends. :)

Tommy Wong (CSR, NC) - I’m thankful the world hasn’t ended yet!

Chris Hart (Cage Tech, Las Vegas) - I could go on all day about how I am thankful for my mother, wife, and beautiful children (which i am!). But what I’m really thankful for is Lunarpages. You have given me the greatest opportunity in which to be challenged, appreciated, and rewarded; of anyone to date.

I cannot express my gratitude in words, of how my wife is now able to be home with the children, how each day I learn voluminous quantities of invaluable tech knowledge, or how my committed and studious work ethic is finally recognized and met with zeal by my corporate officers. Needless to say, I could get all weepy and emo over it, but my tears would freeze to me face in the frigid air of the A/C in the colo.

Tiara Rea (Affiliate Manager, La Habra) - I am thankful for my awesome boss, Amy, who is also the coolest boss in the world. Did I mention she’s awesome?

[Amy: Ok yes.. it is review time.. but she means it.. really]

Tiara: But really: I am thankful for my awesome job, the health of all my friends and family, and my two kitties who get to celebrate their first Christmas this year. ;)

Andrew C (System Administrator, Los Angeles) - I am thankful for being taken care of as a baby. I’m sure I was very helpless and stinky at that stage so I’m happy to have had (and still have) a cool Mom to take care of me so well that I am here now, all these years later, on my own. I can see, hear, feel, smell, taste; read, write, and think. I am thankful for all of these things.

Randy Tarpley (CSR, Tennessee) - I am thankful for what family I have around me for the holidays and for my job at Lunarpages!

Chase Riddle (Purchasing Manager, La Habra) - My job at Lunarpages that allows me to buy sweeeeeeet leather couches for my new bachelor pad!

Kareem Shahin (Developer) - I’m thankful for women who can cook

Adrian Avadani (System Administrator, Romania) - I’m thankful for a lovely family and good, smart and helpful friends. I’m thankful for an awesome past and hopeful for a better one.

Jay Armitage (Education/Abuse, La Habra) – I am thankful for the freaking awesome time I had at Glamis and that I came back sore but not broken. And, I am thankful that my family are healthy and that I have a lovely wife who lets me do what ever I want when ever I want no matter what.

[Amy: Yeah riiiiight]

Nancy Evans (CSR, La Habra) - My wonderful family and to have a job I love.

Debbie Cloven (CSR, East TN) - I am thankful that my Husband of 10 yrs is alive and here to celebrate the Holiday with me. On Monday, October 22, 2007 my husband was admitted to the hospital and immediately put into the ICU. He had contracted the antibiotic resistant staph infection known as MRSA (Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus). The Doctors gave him a 20% chance of survival. I am happy to report that after 6 days in the hospital, more than 33 IV bags of antibiotics, and round the clock care from numerous specialists; my Husband is still here with us! There are simply no words to express just how thankful I am this holiday season. :)

Matthew Boster (Support Supervisor, Colorado) - My Children, I am very lucky to have them both, my wife, free beer and technology.

Anthony S – (System Administrator Supervisor) – Servers I can caress and switches too!

Daniel Veiga (CSR, San Diego) - I am thankful for God and my family first and foremost. I’m also very thankful for being able to work from home and spend time with my family, something I was never able to do. Having the luxury and ability to not have to commute to earn a living was something you only dreamed about in the past; however now it’s a dream come true.

James Wright (CSR, La Habra) - I’m thankful for my family, friends, and love ones.

Chad Riddle (Customer Support Manager, La Habra) - I’m thankful for the ignore button on my phone

Bryan Carl (CSR, Lithia Springs, Georgia) - My 3 month old daughters good health and my wife’s sweetness.

Danny Nolan Position (CSR, Lake Charles Louisiana) – I’m thankful for my new family, they took me in, helped me resettle, have supported me and my wife through everything, and have shown nothing but love. I’m thankful for the new job, the wonderful people here, and for the chance to rebuild.

Danielle Wallace (Administrator Training Manager, Las Vegas) - My family being in decent health especially my mom.

Dee Murphy (CSR, Seattle WA) - There are so many things for which I am thankful it is impossible to list them all, I am thankful for my family and friends and their health and happiness.

Todd Austin (Supreme Commander, Creative Director, [designer dude] , Arizona) – My wife and cold beer!

Kaanon MacFarlane (Development Manager, La Habra) – My wife!

Mitch Keeler (Sales Guy and Forums Moderator) - I’m thankful that I have found such a great job where my goal is to help as many people as I can, while working with some of the coolest people in the hosting world. Of course, thankful for the paycheck that allowed me to buy my new $2,000 baby.. err computer too.

Lisa Pabon (Accounting Supervisor, La Habra) - I am sooooo thankful for my wonderful daughter. She gives such joy.

Nick Cummins (Support/Abuse Supervisor) - For living another great year and my puppy!

Roderick Bancod (Manager Riverside DC) - The swanky new gig with the nice office and the new data center :)

So tell us… what are you thankful for? Post a comment and let us know!
