Page Mason: the next great step in flawless web design
Author: Tiara Rea
Let’s face it – designing your website can be super tough if you don’t have the right tools. Hiring a web designer is great….if you’ve got wads of cash hanging around that you’re willing to toss their way. And you’ll definitely think twice the next time you let your best friend’s cousin’s sister design your site.
Lunarpages is always trying to find new ways to help make your website creation as easy as possible. We give you a domain name, one-click installs of blogs, forums, chatrooms, and more, and now, we are so incredibly proud to offer Page Mason, the next great step in intense web design.
While still in Beta Testing, Page Mason is our newest browser-based web design application, which all Lunarpages customers receive free with every purchase! It has definitely surpassed my expectations of what you can do with easy web design and offers a new kind of simplicity in website building without looking stupid or cheap. * No experience necessary!

* WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) web design editing
quite literally – my text, images, and links were flawless in the editor and browser alike
* so easy your mom could do it image uploading
I’m not kidding – I created a test site in a couple minutes and was peeved when I realized I needed to upload some images…but Page Mason did it for me! Such a time saver
* an amazing variety of over 80 templates; everything from a serious business image to a great blogging layout

Good News, especially since the demise of FrontPage. I’ll have to check it out.

It’s definitely worth a look. When you’ve gotten familiarized, please do send us feedback. We’re improving the software every day and it should be an amazing resource in the near future. Oh wait, it already is.

I just came off of frontpage and started getting the hang of coffeecup…but my real question for lunarpages or page mason is:
When can I get a lite blog application/software that doesn’t take so much help or reading? I didnt really like nucleus or wordpress…the blog with coffee cup is good, but leaves room for improvement by not having a ‘leave comment’ part of the application. Will page mason have something with it in the future…or will we still need to go outside the application and reel it in?

I got an error message when I tried to download the Pagemason. No numbers or codes, simply said there was an error with the download. Appreciate the help. Thank you, Marilee

Will this be available for those of us on VPS or dedicated servers with Plesk/Virtuozzo?

tyronebcookin: I think Wordpress is the easiest blogging tool in my opinion, but that’s mostly because it’s well-documented and has tooooons of support if you get lost. Plus there are templates (even LP templates!!), skins, etc, most of which are free. Beyond that…I guess the easier clients are still Live/Dead/GreatestJournal or Blogger, though I don’t prefer those or enjoy installing them. For PageMason, it’s geared more for web design and not blogging…but send the PageMason folks some feedback and let them know you want these features!
Marilee: You’ll have to email our support team about that.
I wish I was a techie!
Rapunzl: Unfortunately, it’s not on our VPS or Dedicated Plans at the moment. As it’s still in Beta Testing, this could change.
