Want to make some cash on the side from your web site? One really good way to get this done would be to add Google AdSense ads to your layout. Here are the basics that you need to do to get started.

Google has to approve you before you can get your account and get your ads setup. This usually is done within 24 hours but sometimes it takes a little longer. As long as you have a good quality web site with good quality links you should not have an issue.

Another thing to remember is after you get approved do not go ad crazy. The more ads you have doesn’t mean the more money you will get. Find good hot spots for ads and you might have to play around with switch ad positions before you find the right spot.

If your web site does not have a lot of traffic coming into it, you might not see a payoff from your ads anytime soon. For most people I would suggest to not bother with ads till they are established or popular enough to get a decent return on them.
